MAPCU National Higher Education Conference 2003

The association organized the MAPCU National Higher Education Conference 2003 on the 26th – 27th May at Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The two-day conference is aptly themed “Future of the Higher Education Industry: Issues and Challenges for Nation Building”.

The conference was officiated by the Education Minister, YB Tan Sri Dato' Seri Musa Mohamad and endorsed by the Department of Private Education (JPS), Ministry of Education, to address issues pertaining to meeting higher education challenges in the 21st Century society, impact of the WTO and globalisation upon the education sector, going global to attract foreign students, strategies in creating a world-class education hub, borderless education and e-learning, setting standards of excellence for private education as well as putting in place building blocks to create successful partnerships between corporate Malaysia and higher education.
